Remember Us is a solo journaling RPG that explores death, grief and tragedy through the lens of an adult coming back to their childhood home.  A deck of cards will guide you as you travel from room to room, logging the stories of those who are already gone. With prompts for every card and an optional house building mechanic, no two games will ever be the same.

Please, if anyone does a playthrough, do post it up. I'm so fascinated by this game. Would love to see a playthrough.

I know it has been a while, but I only just learned about the game. Your wish is my command on that request for a playthrough!

oh my gosh, thank you so much! I have really been looking forward to seeing this since you had asked about it, and it was wonderful to hear you craft your own story for the house. Your commentary was so interesting to me because it is the first time I have seen someone play the game that wasn’t me testing it or someone I am very close to. I love that you brought up Terror Management Theory. I went to undergrad for psychology and used that topic for my senior thesis. It has always been something that fascinated me and I think bits a pieces come in to a lot of my work, even if I don’t quite realize until I am halfway through writing it. The psychology behind a story has always been one of my biggest loves. Also, What Remains of Edith Finch is one of my favorite games. It was definitely an inspiration for this game. Storytelling means a lot to me, so I wanted to make something that could always make a new story. I’m sitting here writing my next project and it just means the world to hear this one come to life.

Again, thank you so much. I truly hope you enjoyed.

Ya know, I guess turnabout is fair play when it comes to making people cry happy tears, right? I would love to hear more about your senior thesis some day - it sounds fascinating and I am always learning more. As a generalist, I have the fun of just soaking up any psychology knowledge I want and then sharing it with students. I already have your game noted for the next time I teach adult development as a good resource for our chapter on death and dying.

I absolutely enjoyed it and will be recommending it forward!

I would love to sit down and talk sometime! It is absolutely mindblowing that anything I have made will be used in an academic setting. Thank you so much again for taking the time to look at it and play it.
